New Teacher Retreat

Early career educators (in the profession for 5yrs or less) are invited to attend TEA's New Teacher Retreat. Earn 6.5 credits of professional development while strengthening your practice to enhance your success as a teacher. The Retreat will include sessions on best practices, classroom management, parent relationships, teacher evaluation and more.


The New Teacher Retreat is open to all early career educators statewide who have been in the profession for five years or less.

Registration for teachers who are not members of TEA will open on December 1, 2017.


Registration includes four meals and conference materials. For TEA members who live outside of Davidson County, TEA will cover the expense of lodging for the weekend.

The registration fee for TEA members is $50. The registration fee for non-members is $250, which includes meals, materials and lodging.
